IONA

For centuries the gorgeous Island of Iona had magnetized sacred pilgrims from many places on Earth. It is whispered also, that there were those who visited this tiny jewel of an island from the Pleiades. It is an extraordinary vortex of natural beauty where the mysticism of the ancient Christians is very much alive in the tiny church built so humbly in the year 532 by Saint Columba.

My intent in this short but deeply potent journey is to bring alive the original teachings of Yeshua, the teachings that pre-date the St James Bible. To this end we will be singing and sharing prayers made in Aramaic (Yeshua’s original language).  We will have early morning meetings in this ancient church and walk the beauty of the island, combing the beaches, dunes and hills for tiny shells and rocks, for driftwood and colored glass with which to fashion our Iona mobiles.

We will share stories of old and hold sacred space to receive wisdom for these times from the ancient wanderers and from the Celtic Goddess Brigid, who is thought to be alive in the rocks and sand formations of this gorgeous place. It is said that she is up in the hills waiting and that when the sacred women come to this island, she will come down to braid their hair and wash their feet. It is then that the true new age will come to this Earth.
